The judicial commission probing the Hyderabad encounter case has termed the police encounter of the four accused as fake. The commission has recommended a murder case against 10 policemen involved in the encounter. The commission appointed by the Supreme Court has said this in its report. The commission did not rely on the police’s argument that the accused snatched the pistol and tried to abscond. The commission included former Supreme Court Justice VS Sirpurkar, retired Bombay High Court judge Justice Rekha Baldota, former CBI director Karthikeyan.
The case is related to the rape and murder of a veterinary doctor on 27 November 2019. After raping the girl, she was burnt to death. Taking action in this incident, the police arrested four accused Mohd Arif alias Ahmed, Jollu Shiva, Chintakuntala Chennakeshavulu, Jollu Naveen. A few days after the rape and murder incident i.e. on December 6, the four accused were killed in an encounter near Shadnagar. The police claimed that she had gone to recreate the crime scene. Then the accused blew up and were killed.
However, when questions arose after the encounter, the court had ordered a commission to be formed to investigate the incident. Sirpurkar Commission has filed a report in this matter in the Supreme Court. According to this report, the alleged four accused in the Disha rape case were fake encounters. The Supreme Court has asked the Telangana High Court to take action on the commission’s report. The Supreme Court says that what happened in the name of protecting the law comes under the category of abhorrent.

The commission has recommended that police officers V Surender, K Narasimha, Shaik Lal, Mohd. Strictest punishment should be given to Sirajuddin, K Ravi, K Venkateshwaralu, S Arvind Gaur, D Janakiram, R Balu Rathod and D Srikanth by conducting murder cases. This act of his is completely contrary to the standpoint of rule of law.
