IMD Weather update: At present, a double game of weather is being played in many states of the country. At some places the heat of the summer continues and at other places it is raining with relief. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain in some parts of the country. According to IMD, there will be light to moderate rain/snow with isolated lightning and thunder over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Arunachal Pradesh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Uttarakhand.
According to the Meteorological Department, Northwest India will probably be affected by a fresh disturbance from April 18 and under the influence of this weather condition with lightning, storm and strong winds over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Baltistan and Gilgit. There are chances of widespread rain.

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely over Yanam, Coastal Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next five days. IMD has predicted similar weather for Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Karaikal from today and it will continue till April 18. Heavy rain and snowfall is likely in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya on 16 and 17 April. Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur in other states of North-East India i.e. Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram during this period.

According to Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snowfall with isolated heavy falls may occur over Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
Isolated hailstorm may occur in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and North Punjab. Light to moderate rain is possible in North Punjab. Sporadic rain and strong winds may occur in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, South Tamil Nadu and South Kerala. Light rain may occur at isolated places in Assam and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
