Police took possession of the body and sent the body for postmortem
Gaya, July 24 (IANS) | Seven people died in a collision between an Innova car and a highway in Dobhi police station area of Gaya district of Bihar on Friday night. A police official said on Saturday that the Innova car was coming from Gaya side while Hiva was going towards Gaya from its opposite direction. There was a direct collision between Innova and Hiva near Kanjiyar Mode of Dobhi-Chatra road.
In this accident, six people died on the spot while one person died on the way to the hospital. Dobhi police station sub-inspector Dinesh Kumar said that the police have seized the highway, while the highway driver is said to be absconding after the incident. He said that the deceased has been identified. Among the dead, four people were residents of Gaya district while one person each belonged to Aurangabad, Arwal and Jehanabad districts. Police have taken the bodies in their possession and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem and are investigating the matter.
