When Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh fought for freedom, his philosophy was that to love is the innate right of everyone, why this time the land of the country should be made beloved. Of course, by crucifixion of Bhagat Singh, the British government stopped his breath. But he could not stop his philosophy from spreading. When Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann took oath in the village of Bhagat Singh, he remembered him in a unique way and explained the meaning of philosophy to the people.
Bhagwant said that his government belongs to all the people of Punjab. Including those who did not vote for us. We have come to the martyr’s village for the first time but Bhagat Singh should be remembered daily. It is the result of the light that he created for freedom by sacrificing his life that we are breathing in free India today. Mann said that start working from today itself. It’s already 70 years late. Now if we delay any longer then it will be very wrong.
The swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mann was to be held at 12.30 but it was delayed and it could start at 1.25. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal himself was present in Khatkharkalan. Mann was administered the oath by Governor Banwari Lal Purohit. Mann had invited all the people of Punjab to the function. His argument was that 3 crore people would also take oath with him.
Famous singers Gurdas Mann, Karamjit Anmol, Congress MPs Mohammad Siddiqui, Amar Noori were present in the swearing-in. Mann had appealed to the people to come to the function wearing Basanti colored turban. He argued that we can pay a true tribute to Bhagat Singh by wearing his favorite colour. After taking the oath, Mann said that all the problems would be resolved. His only goal is to make Punjab prosperous.
