Indian Railways has given a special gift to passengers on Navratri and Diwali. Railways have decided to run special trains from 26 September to the end of November. Officials of Indian Railways claim that more than 6,000 special trains have been planned during the festive season including Diwali and Chhath Puja.

According to the Northern Railway spokesperson, these special trains will be for various states across the country including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam, so that people returning home on festivals do not face any kind of inconvenience. Apart from special trains, special arrangements are being made at stations based on the expected crowd.
Special schemes for passengers of each state
According to the Ministry of Railways, a special train will run between Jabalpur and Danapur from 26 September to 5 November. This train will run every Wednesday and Friday. Similarly, special trains will run between Mumbai Central and Kathgodam from October 1, between Udhna and Subedarganj from 3 October and Bandra Terminus and Badni from 6 October.
Trains are more crowded during Diwali and Chhath.
According to the information received, special puja special trains will be run between Anand Vihar and Bhagalpur. These trains will run daily from 20 September to 30 November. A special train will also run between Kolkata and Lucknow from October 2 to November 6. For Diwali and Chhath, a special train will run between Mau and Udhna every Saturday from 27 September to 1 November. Trains are particularly crowded during the festive season. Keeping in mind the number of passengers, the Railways have reserved some coaches, which will be run on the most crowded routes at the end of the month.
