Nowadays, everyone spends most of their day in the office. As a result, office affairs have become quite common. While it is common in foreign countries, the trend of workplace romance is increasing rapidly in India too. A recent report has revealed this. A recent survey by Ashley Madison, an app famous for extramarital affairs, has revealed shocking statistics. According to this international study, India is far ahead in terms of office romance. Let’s learn more about this study:

This study, conducted in collaboration with YouGov, was conducted in 11 countries. This included a total of 13,581 people from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the United States. Mexico ranks first in the list of countries with the highest number of office affairs. At the same time, our country India is at second number. Yes, if you are surprised to hear this, then let us tell you that this is absolutely true. Workplace romance has become common in India and is second to none. Studies show that four out of ten Indians in the general population have either dated or are currently dating a peer.

Mexico in first place
In Mexico, which tops the list, 43 percent of respondents said they have been romantically involved with a co-worker, while 40 percent of Indians said the same. This figure is much higher than countries like the United States, Britain and Canada, where this figure is 30 percent. Interestingly, among those surveyed, more men than women reported having an affair at work. 51 percent of men reported having an affair in the office, while for women this number was 36 percent.

Office affairs are more common among men
The women surveyed appeared to be more cautious about keeping personal and professional lives together. About 29 percent women said that they avoid office affairs to avoid disruption in work. At the same time, only 27 percent men believed so. Overall, the survey found that men are more open and accepting of office romance. Younger workers, however, tend to be more cautious, especially if they feel it could impact their careers.
