South Indian cinema superstar and politician Vijay Thalapathy has been in the news recently. The actor has won the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu – a victory that has made him the talk of the town. Vijay Thalapathy’s fitness trainer, Naresh Kumar told in an interview to a private news channel that Vijay is very dedicated towards his physical fitness. Despite being busy with work, Vijay always takes out time for his body conditioning, diet, hair and skin health. Just as Vijay works very hard to prepare for any of his film roles, similarly he has been equally diligent in his fitness journey for the last several years. Let’s take a closer look at the actor’s workout routine and diet.

What kind of workouts does Vijay do?

It is worth noting that Vijay does not train like a bodybuilder. Their workout sessions usually start with light cardio – like walking or running for 10 to 40 minutes. Cardio helps maintain good heart health and keeps energy levels high. After warm-up, he does strength training using light weights. He prefers exercises that are designed to improve body mobility and muscle tone, rather than solely aimed at increasing muscle mass. Experts say that this type of exercise puts very little stress on the body and even common people can easily adopt it.

Here’s what Vijay eats:
Vijay prefers simple, home-cooked food. He starts his day with a light breakfast, which often includes *idli*, eggs, peanut butter or fruits. Apart from this, drinking coconut water is an important part of this actor’s diet. For lunch, Vijay follows a balanced diet consisting of vegetables, rice and chicken or fish for protein.

This actor prioritizes hydration
Vijay loves South Indian food, although he prefers to eat it only occasionally. On the contrary, he stays away from junk food. Vijay puts a lot of emphasis on hydration; For this he likes to drink coconut water. Apart from this, he eats fruits which help in maintaining the fluid level in the body.
