According to *Chanakya Niti*, acts of charity and philanthropy are not considered noble qualities without any solid reason. Chanakya said that the person who gives something to others is a truly rich person in the true sense. Those who extend a helping hand to the poor and needy in difficult times, God himself rescues and uplifts them. There is never any reduction in the happiness or prosperity of such persons; Therefore, one should always keep one’s hands open for charity. A person should make it his mandatory duty to help the needy to the best of his ability.
