Microsoft is a big news for users. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) has issued a warning, stating that Microsoft’s products have high-risk protection threats. The government has placed this warning in the “high severity” category. According to Cert-in, these safety flaws can affect many important Microsoft products.
These products may be affected
The affected products include Windows, Microsoft Office, SQL Server, Azure Services, Microsoft Edge, Xbox Gaming Services, Microsoft 365 Apps, Office Online Server and Autupdeat for Mac.
Government gave this advice
Taking advantage of these flaws, cyber -attackers can gain control, steal sensitive information, get rights like admins, can make fake attacks, run dangerous codes and even stop the system. Given this situation, Cert-in has advised all users and IT administrators to update their system without delay.
Such a warning was also issued for WhatsApp
Last week, CERT-in issued such a warning for WhatsApp users. It was said that this flaw came due to not handling the synchronized message properly in WhatsApp’s linked device. Taking advantage of this, remote attackers can send malicious requests to a device. This will reach the attacker without the user’s private chat and confidential information. This will have a special impact on the old WhatsApp version from iOS 2.25.21.73, old WhatsApp business from 2.25.21.78 and the old WhatsApp for Mac from 2.25.21.78. These versions of WhatsApp are the most sensitive in terms of hacking. The agency advised them to update them immediately.
