New Delhi. After the formation of the interim government, the situation on the Indo-Nepal border is gradually becoming normal. According to media reports, passenger vehicles, cars, motorcycles, pedestrians and cargo trucks were seen passing through Rupaidiha border on Saturday.
According to the information, a large number of business trucks entered Nepal, which has speeded up business activities. However, the movement of common citizens is still limited.
In the midst of all this, security agencies at border posts are completely vigilant and citizens and vehicles are being monitored continuously.
According to reports, the situation is quite quiet than before and normal life is expected to be completely restored in the coming days.
In fact, the recent large-scale Jane-G protests in Nepal shook the entire country. The demonstration started by the government banning several social media platforms, but this movement soon turned into a big wave due to corruption, political nepotism, economic inequality and unemployment among the youth.
Mediums like online platform ‘Discord’ played an important role in organizing this leadershipless movement.
Thousands of youths came out on the streets. The movement turned into violent clashes, killing many people and damage to property on a large scale, including government buildings, political parties offices.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had to resign amid increasing public pressure and violence incidents across the country. After this, there were significant changes in Nepal’s politics and former Chief Justice Sushila Karki was appointed as the head of the interim government.
After changing the government and the creation of a new system, now the situation on the Indo-Nepal border seems to be stable. Business activities are gradually returning to track. At the same time, people of the business class have breathed a sigh of relief. However, there is still some hesitation about the movement of common citizens.
