New Delhi, April 24 (IANS). Taking a tough stand against the rebel MPs, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now preparing to take action under the Anti-Defection Law. The party says that his membership can be canceled under the law.

According to the information, the party believes that even though the rebel MPs have claimed that two-thirds of the MPs are with them, in reality only three MPs have joined the BJP. In such a situation, this matter directly falls under the purview of anti-defection law.

The party is taking advice from legal experts in this entire matter and formal action can be taken soon. Aam Aadmi Party clearly says that strict action will be taken against MPs who are involved in anti-party activities.

According to the information, party Chief Whip ND Gupta will write a letter to the Chairman on Saturday morning. In this letter, action will be taken against the three rebel MPs, Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, under anti-defection law and activities against the party, and a demand will be made to cancel their membership.

After announcing his resignation from Aam Aadmi Party and joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha reached the BJP national office on Friday. He met BJP national president Nitin Naveen. During this time Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak were also with him. BJP President Nitin Naveen welcomed everyone by feeding them sweets.

Earlier, Raghav Chadha said that AAP has 10 MPs in the Rajya Sabha and more than two-thirds of the MPs are with us in this campaign. He has already signed, and this morning we have handed over all the necessary documents, including the signed letter and other formal papers, to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

Aam Aadmi Party has termed it as ‘Operation Lotus’ of BJP. The party alleges that a conspiracy has been hatched to break AAP leaders by showing fear of central agencies like ED and CBI. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that through ‘Operation Lotus’ BJP wants to destabilize the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab. He said that this is a betrayal of Punjab and the people of Punjab. The people of Punjab will never forget this.
