Agra, January 28 (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Women Commission Chairperson Babita Singh Chauhan has welcomed the proposal being brought by Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) to bar entry of non-Hindus into Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. He said that this is the right decision and is in everyone’s interest.
Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission chairperson Babita Singh Chauhan, while talking to news agency IANS, said, “Hindustan was a place where there was never any taboo for anyone to go. Be it Hindu or Muslim, there was never any restriction for anyone here, but now things are different. You are seeing what is happening in very religious places for Hindus like Har Ki Pauri. All this cannot be tolerated.”
He said that I think perhaps all these decisions might have been taken after careful consideration and on the basis of some logic. Because it is very sad that if you look in the restaurants, you are seeing fruit sellers every day. Even today I was reading the paper that he was cooking food in the tandoor, but even in that he was spitting. Just now I saw that he was filling it in the toilet bottle and pouring it on the fruits. After such things I also think what is all this happening?
Babita Singh Chauhan said that now from where will they be banned? If there is dirt in the mind then it can be anywhere. I think this is a matter of great reverence and we all look at this Har Ki Pauri with great reverence. Har ki Pauri is considered popular all over India, so perhaps they must have taken this decision after some thinking.
