Jaipur, June 29 (IANS). Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to inaugurate the Pachpadra Refinery on July 4, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has described the mega project as a game changer that will transform the economic future of the state and usher in a new era of industrial development.
Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday comprehensively reviewed the preparations at the refinery site and expressed confidence that this mega project will usher in a new era of prosperity for the state.
The Rajasthan Chief Minister said it is set to transform the economic landscape of the state and accelerate development across the region. Before the Prime Minister’s visit, the Chief Minister inspected the refinery complex.
Held a detailed review meeting with officials of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRL) and district administration. The meeting, which lasted for about one and a half hour, focused on the refinery’s operational readiness, security arrangements, logistics and preparations for the inauguration ceremony.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that all arrangements related to the Prime Minister’s visit should be completed within the stipulated time limit.
On reaching the helipad of the refinery, Sharma was welcomed by minister in-charge Zoraram Kumawat, minister K.K. Bishnoi, MLAs Hamir Singh Bhayal, Arun Chaudhary and Aduram Meghwal along with senior administrative officials.
Addressing the media after the review, the Chief Minister said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Rajasthan on July 4. A historic moment is going to happen in Western Rajasthan, for which people have been waiting for years. This refinery is going to change the future of Rajasthan.”
He said the country has seen unprecedented growth in the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, including several welfare initiatives benefiting the poor and major infrastructure projects in Rajasthan under the two-engine government.
He said, “Within just two and a half years, many development projects have started in Rajasthan. The state is moving on the path of rapid progress and Rajasthan will touch new heights of development in the coming years.”
Before concluding his visit, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the revered Sambhara Ashapura Mata Temple and sought blessings for the successful operation of the refinery and the prosperity and well-being of Rajasthan.
The refinery was originally scheduled to be inaugurated on April 21, but the event was postponed due to a fire in the refinery’s CDU-VDU unit a day earlier. After the technical problems are resolved, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally dedicate the refinery to the nation on July 4.
HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRL) and district administration officials are working on a war footing to complete all logistics, operational and security arrangements ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Chief Minister’s review is being seen as an important step towards ensuring smooth conduct of one of the most important industrial inauguration ceremonies of Rajasthan, as the Pachpadra Refinery is expected to emerge as a major driver of investment, employment and economic growth in the state.
