Later Pawan Singh announced to leave the BJP and fight Independents. NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha was defeated by Pawan Singh’s rebellion. The BJP later showed Pawan Singh a way out of the party. Now the question is arising that why Pawan Singh is necessary for NDA?
According to political analysts, it is not easy for any party to ignore a well-known face like Pawan Singh in Bihar politics. His popularity is not only among the Bhojpuri -speaking voters, but also in rural and urban areas, he has a strong impact. NDA’s associate Upendra Kushwaha was a candidate from Karakat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. But Pawan Singh rebelled and contested the election. As a result, Kushwaha reached number three and NDA had to face defeat. The equations of Shahabad deteriorated in this election. It is believed that due to the rebellion of Pawan Singh, the BJP suffered heavy losses in Ara, Karakat, Aurangabad and Buxar seats in the Lok Sabha elections. These days, RK Singh, the big face of BJP in Bihar, has also appeared against the BJP many times, in such a situation, NDA needs a strong face to keep its traditional Rajput vote together. According to the information, Pawan Singh has been promised two assembly seats and Rajya Sabha in Kushwaha’s party. Pawan Singh’s famous Bhojpuri -speaking, rural and urban voters are similar, so it is very difficult to ignore him. In the 22 seats in Shahabad region, NDA suffered a major loss in the 2020 assembly elections. If Pawan Singh and Kushwaha come together, the Rajput-Kushwaha equation can harm the grand alliance.
