BJP core group meeting: The hustle and bustle of Bihar Assembly elections has now reached Delhi. The meeting of BJP Core Group has started at the house of BJP President JP Nadda, which was awaited in the whole of Bihar. Home Minister Amit Shah reached JP Nadda’s residence. Big leaders like election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, state in-charge Vinod Tawde, co-in-charge Deepak Prakash, Bihar BJP president Samrat Chaudhary, Radha Mohan Singh, Nityanand Rai and Mangal Pandey are present with him. The purpose of the meeting is the same – to decide the formula for seats in Bihar and to finalize the list of candidates.
According to sources, the common strategy of the NDA alliance is also being discussed in this meeting. The special thing is that LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has also attended this meeting. His arrival there is an indication that efforts for coordination in the NDA are now in their decisive phase.
Mathematics of seats in NDA
The BJP’s state election committee has already submitted the panel of probable candidates to the central leadership. Now it is being given final approval in Delhi. It is believed that the first list may be released by October 13, and it will be presented as a common list not only of BJP but of the entire NDA alliance.
Talks regarding seat sharing are at a sensitive juncture. LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, who was earlier adamant on the demand of 40 seats, now seems to be in a mood for compromise. “When my Prime Minister is present, I have nothing to worry about,” he said. Similarly, Hindustani Awam Morcha President Jitan Ram Manjhi is also demanding 15 seats for his party this time, whereas in 2020 it had got only seven seats. However, sources say that both the leaders can agree on the formula after the intervention of the top leadership of BJP.
The decisive battle will take place on 6th and 11th November
According to the Election Commission, Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, while the results will be declared on November 14. That means, now in just a few weeks it will be decided in whose hands the power of Bihar will go. At present, this meeting of BJP and NDA leaders is being considered as the most important link in deciding the electoral direction of Bihar. Because the distribution of seats not only changes the equation of the alliance, but also decides the balance of electoral victory and defeat.
