New Delhi, 9 September (IANS). After the victory of NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan on the post of Vice President, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brijmohan Agrawal not only called it the NDA victory, but also indicated the growing disagreement and rift in the opposition India alliance.
Brijmohan Agrawal told IANS, “I also congratulate CP Radhakrishnan, the NDA family, and all those who are not in the NDA, but they also vote for Radhakrishnan.
Brijmohan Agrawal said that in Radhakrishnan’s victory, many MPs voted out of the line of India alliance, ie cross voting. He said that this is proof that everything is not going well in the India alliance.
He said, “India alliance is only a coalition of selfishness. Many people are only involved in compulsion, but they are really patriots, nationalists and want the development of the country under PM Modi’s leadership.”
The BJP MP praised CP Radhakrishnan and described him as a true guards of Indian culture and values.
He said, “Radhakrishnan is a patriot, a leader of faith in Indian culture and traditions. Under his leadership, the Rajya Sabha proceedings will be better, the Constitution will be protected and in association with the President, he will give a new height to the country’s reputation and respect.”
Aggarwal claimed that many opposition MPs are now openly expressing confidence in the policies of PM Modi and NDA.
He said, “It is a good thing that now leaders from inside the India alliance are gradually showing confidence in the Modi government. They are rising above the politics of their party and taking decisions in the national interest. This is the victory of democracy.”
