While the police detained Congress state president Jitu Patwari, Congress MLAs started a dharna in front of the Chief Minister’s office in the assembly complex. The protest of the MLAs continues till late night.
In protest against the arrest of Rahul Gandhi, who was protesting near the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi, Congressmen under the leadership of State Congress President Jitu Patwari surrounded the Raj Bhavan in Bhopal and registered a protest. When the police reached the spot and tried to detain the Patwari and other leaders, there was a long struggle between the Congress workers and the police and finally the police detained the Congress leaders.
On the other hand, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and Congress MLAs started a dharna outside the Chief Minister’s office in the Assembly. The Leader of Opposition said that the arrest of senior leaders of the Congress Party, including Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, who were protesting outside the Prime Minister’s residence against the brutality on the students protesting in Delhi and the alleged indecency with them is the shameful face of the dictatorship of the BJP government.
From Delhi to Madhya Pradesh Assembly, we are fighting for the respect and justice of the students. He is being given along with the Congress Legislature Party outside the Chief Minister’s Office located in the Assembly.
The voice of truth can neither be dragged nor arrested. We will not back down in this fight for democracy. Leader of Opposition alleges that BJP Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya refused to discuss the students’ issue in the Assembly by calling them ‘cockroaches’. After this, he came to threaten the Congress MLAs sitting on dharna outside the Chief Minister’s office. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will have to apologize to the students.
