Gold and silver prices are continuously rising, creating new records daily. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA) website, by Tuesday morning, the price of 24-carat gold rose by ₹2,295 to ₹1,19,249 per 10 gram, while the price of silver rose by ₹3,223 to ₹1,48,833 per kg. Meanwhile, gold prices in Delhi rose by ₹2,700 to a new peak of ₹1,23,300 per 10 grams on Monday, according to the All India Bullion Association. Silver prices also witnessed a sharp rise, with the white metal jumping ₹7,400 to hit a new peak of ₹1,57,400 per kg. Meanwhile, gold and silver prices reached new record levels in futures trade. Gold price on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) reached all-time high of ₹1,19,560 per 10 grams. Silver futures hit new high of ₹1,47,700 per kg. What was the price of gold last day?
According to the All India Bullion Association, gold prices rose by ₹2,700 in the national capital on Monday to reach a new peak of ₹1,23,300. This surge was due to demand for safe investments in foreign markets and weak rupee. The association said that gold of 99.9 percent purity increased to Rs 1,23,300 per 10 grams in the local market. Thus, the price of the yellow metal recorded a huge increase of Rs 2,700 per 10 grams in a single trading session. On Friday, gold of 99.9 percent purity had closed at Rs 1,20,600 per 10 grams. In the local bullion market, the price of 99.5 percent pure gold rose by Rs 2,700 to Rs 1,22,700 per 10 grams (including all taxes). In the previous session, it had closed at Rs 1,20,000 per 10 grams. So far this year, gold prices have seen an increase of Rs 51,350 per 10 grams i.e. 65.04 percent. The price of gold in December 2024 was ₹78,950 per 10 grams.
What were the prices of silver last day?
Like gold, silver prices also witnessed a huge rise. It rose by Rs 7,400 to hit a new high of Rs 1,57,400 per kg (including all taxes). On Friday, the price of silver was Rs 1,50,000 per kg. This year, silver prices have increased by Rs 67,700 or 75.47 percent. The price of silver at the end of December 2024 was Rs 89,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, gold and silver futures prices also hit new highs. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for December delivery rose by Rs 1,962, or 1.66 per cent, to hit a record high of Rs 1,20,075 per 10 grams. Gold for delivery in February 2026 also rose by Rs 2,047, or 1.71 per cent, to hit a record high of Rs 1,21,380 per 10 grams. Gold prices rose by ₹3,222 per 10 grams or 2.8 percent last week.

On MCX, the futures price of silver for December 2025 delivery also increased to ₹ 1,47,977 per kg and the futures price of silver for March 2026 delivery to ₹ 1,49,605 per kg. A rise was also seen in silver. Silver futures contracts for December delivery rose by ₹2,233, or 1.53 per cent, to hit a new high of ₹1,47,977 per kg. Similarly, silver futures contracts for delivery in March 2026 rose by ₹2,337, or 1.59 per cent, to hit an all-time high of ₹1,49,605 per kg. Silver futures also witnessed a strong rise last week, rising by ₹3,855 per kg or 2.72 per cent.

In international markets, spot gold rose nearly two percent to a new record high of $3,949.58 an ounce. Silver rose more than one percent to $48.75 an ounce. Globally, gold futures for December delivery rose two per cent to a record high of $3,973.60 an ounce. On the other hand, silver rose more than one percent to hit a record high of $48.58 an ounce.
