Srinagar, November 19 (IANS). PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter and party’s media in-charge Iltija Mufti has expressed concern over Delhi blast’s main accused Dr. Omar becoming a suicide bomber. He described this incident as shocking to the core.
Iltija Mufti posted on social media platform
Mufti wrote, “It forces us to think in which direction we are headed? Right wing elements are celebrating by exaggerating his scary video. Does Delhi still not realize that there is a serious problem? A problem which the central government either does not want to acknowledge or is refusing to acknowledge.”
Describing a dangerous cycle, Iltija wrote, “Islamophobia and oppression of Muslims across India—some carrying out terrorist attacks—retaliation in Kashmir—collective punishment and repression—caste profiling and harassment of Kashmiris working outside Jammu and Kashmir—then the same cycle is repeated. Kashmiris are deeply trapped in this toxic cycle.”
An accident that took place on November 10 near Red Fort metro station in Delhi shook the entire country. At around 6:52 pm, there was a massive explosion in a white Hyundai i20 car parked at the high traffic signal. The explosion was so terrible that many vehicles were burnt to ashes and the glasses of nearby shops were shattered.
NIA is investigating the entire matter, in which suicide bombing has also been revealed. The main accused, Dr. Umar (affiliated with Al Falah University), a resident of Pulwama, is said to be inspired by ISIS.
