New Delhi, October 18 (IANS). Delhi BJP State President Virendra Sachdeva said that the festival of Diwali is a celebration of our culture and traditions.
Delhi BJP Chief said that Diwali is not just a festival, but a celebration of the victory of light over darkness, truth over falsehood and hope over despair. This festival of lights brings the message of unity, love and new energy in our society.
While talking to IANS on lighting of more than 1.5 lakh lamps on the duty path, Delhi BJP Chief said that now BJP has a Sanatani government in Delhi, which knows how to honor and respect its religion and culture.
Sachdeva said that this time under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, more than 1.5 lakh lamps will be lit on the path of duty. This will be a wonderful message for Delhi that Delhi will continue to shine like this.
He said that this Diwali is being celebrated with double celebration for the people of Delhi.
On the issue of green firecrackers, Sachdeva said that the Supreme Court has allowed green firecrackers. This simply means that previous governments had tried to stop the celebration of Diwali by targeting a particular religion. But, people of Delhi will celebrate Diwali with full enthusiasm with Diwali green crackers.
He appealed to Delhiites to take care of cleanliness, use green crackers, and be conscious about the environment.
Referring to GST, he said that this time the Central Government has reduced the GST slab, due to which the markets have become brighter.
In a social media post, Sachdeva wrote that with the wish of a life full of wealth, best wishes for Dhanteras to all the people of the state. With the blessings of Lord Dhanvantari and Mother Lakshmi, we wish that health, happiness, prosperity and peace reside in everyone’s life.
