Patna, October 21 (IANS). The allies of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are excited after the controversy over seats in the Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections. Shyam Sundar Sharan, the chief national spokesperson of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum), which is part of the NDA, on Tuesday took a dig at the Grand Alliance and said that in the Grand Alliance, more than 255 candidates have contested 243 seats in this election.
He clearly said that there is no friendly conflict in politics. Hindustani Awam Morcha’s chief spokesperson Shyam Sundar Sharan said while talking to IANS that NDA not only distributed seats in an amicable manner but also fielded candidates in the election field. Now the election campaign has also started, while on the other hand, the candidates in the Grand Alliance have not been decided yet.
He said that from Tuesday onwards Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to start the campaign and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to come for the campaign. He said that NDA is going to the election field for its development work and the people of Bihar are also ready to bless NDA. The Hindustani Awam Morcha leader said that the NDA is contesting the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
It is noteworthy that in this assembly election, JDU and BJP are contesting 100-101 seats from NDA, while Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (Ram Vilas) has got 29 seats. Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rajya Sabha member Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha have got six seats each. The first phase of Bihar assembly elections will be held on 6 November and the second phase on 11 November. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.
