Lucknow, January 19 (IANS). Samajwadi Party MP Virendra Singh has cornered the UP government in the case of the death of Noida engineer Yuvraj Mehta. He said that the system is responsible for the death of the student and it is a failure of the system.
SP MP in Lucknow, Virendra Singh, while talking to IANS, said that the engineer died due to the negligence of this system. The young man kept screaming for two hours, asking for help to save his life, but he did not get help. What can be said about such a system? The government talks about ‘developed India’, but even today citizens in many cities are forced to drink dirty sewer water. We come from a city like Varanasi. Every day people complain that smelly water is being supplied there. If the government cannot make proper arrangements for sewerage and pure water then why does it laugh at ‘developed India’. This incident completely exposes the negligence of the system. The young man kept asking for help for two hours, but the people present there could not save him. Certainly an FIR should be lodged against Noida Authority and action should be taken against whoever is responsible for this death.
Regarding the upcoming meeting of the Samajwadi Party, he said that its main topic will be – what will be the strategy for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections and how will the government be cornered during the budget session of the Lok Sabha. Senior leaders will give guidelines on this.
Regarding SIR, Virendra Singh said that unsuccessful attempts are being made to win the elections through SIR. People in Bihar were not alert. This was happening for the first time, so people could not catch their trick and they became successful, but we will not let them succeed in UP. We will stop them at every booth.
On putting up a board of ‘non-Hindu entry prohibited area’ in Haridwar, the SP MP said that this is the reason why Hindus are being persecuted in foreign countries. Hindus are being tortured in Bangladesh. Hindu is living there, but how is he being viewed? Everyone knows our numbers. Middle class people go abroad for livelihood, but due to this kind of behavior they have to suffer the consequences. This government is only concerned with doing politics.
Regarding the renovation of Manikarnika Ghat, he said that it is fine if the renovation work of the Ghat is done well, but when the statue of Ahilyabai Holkar is disrespected and work is done to erase the existence of our Mahadev, then the public will have to come forward.
