Mainpuri, June 13 (IANS). Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav fiercely targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Mainpuri. Criticizing the policies of the BJP government regarding inflation, power crisis, smart meters, law and order and 2027 assembly elections, he said that the public now wants change.
SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that the increasing value of dollar and weakening of rupee is directly impacting the common people. From tea to diesel, petrol and cooking gas, all the essential commodities have become expensive. He said that the government installed smart meters, but the villagers uprooted them and threw them away.
The SP chief said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have supported the call of PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority). According to him, the oppressed, troubled and humiliated people are coming together.
He claimed that backward classes, Dalits, minorities and women are angry with the policies of the BJP and this unity overshadowed the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Referring to the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav said that SP will contest the elections taking all communities along. Now PDA also means “love, kindness and affection”. The party will go among the people and give the message of social harmony and brotherhood.
Making serious allegations against the BJP government, he said that the government has done injustice not only to the general public but also to the leaders of Samajwadi Party. Alleging fake encounter, he said that Lord Shri Ram is also watching the sins of the BJP government. Referring to the alleged scam related to offerings in Ayodhya, he said that by the grace of God such cases are also being exposed.
The SP chief also cornered the BJP government on the issue of power cuts. He said that BJP leaders cannot sleep without AC while the general public is not getting adequate electricity.
