Excitement to welcome PM Modi in Varanasi, Bengali women blow conch shells at the ghat

Varanasi, April 28 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Tuesday. Even before his arrival, the atmosphere of Kashi has been filled with enthusiasm, tremendous happiness is being seen especially among the women.

Amidst the ongoing election atmosphere in West Bengal, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the Bengali women who reached Kashi to welcome PM Modi. About two dozen women gathered at the Ganga ghats and blew conch shells and expressed their happiness. Women say that they are confident of victory in the ongoing elections in Bengal and in the same joy this event is being organized in Kashi.

The women told that on the arrival of the Prime Minister in Varanasi, they will give a grand welcome, blow conch shells, shower flowers and greet him by performing aarti. The sound of conch shells echoing on the ghats of Kashi and the enthusiasm of women shows that there is a lot of enthusiasm and joy in the city regarding the visit of the Prime Minister.

Talking to news agency IANS, Reena Karkar said, “We are very happy about the arrival of the PM. We will go straight from Ganga Ghat to BLW, where we are going to welcome the PM by blowing the conch shell. After this, there are further preparations. Among us, it is considered very good to blow the conch shell before starting any work.”

Speaking to IANS, Soma Das said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is winning in West Bengal. We are very happy because the Prime Minister is winning, which means we the people are winning. Today PM is coming to Varanasi. We have gathered here only for all the preparations. When the PM arrives, we are going to welcome him by blowing conch shells.

Reva told that PM Modi is coming to Varanasi today, we are very excited. We have left our homes and families and have come to prepare for them. We are ready to welcome the PM.

Anita Chakraborty said that we are going to shower flowers on the PM. This shower of flowers means the victory of West Bengal and we are going to congratulate the PM for the same. Our preparations are in the final stages, after this we will go for further preparations.
