The Congress on Friday, citing a study, said that the implementation of ‘five guarantee’ by its government in Karnataka has led to effective and meaningful changes and the local economy has been strengthened.
Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a statement, “Five guarantee implemented by the Government of Karnataka has brought effective and meaningful changes in the last two years. A new report, prepared from independent studies of four prestigious research and educational institutions, has extensively evaluated the results of these guarantees. “He said,” Under the Shakti Yojana (Free Bus Travel), 19 percent of women beneficiaries said that they got employment or better jobs due to mobility from buses- this data in Bangalore Urban Zile got up to 34 percent. 80 percent of the beneficiaries said that their access to health services has increased. ”
According to Ramesh, 72 percent of the women in the survey said that the scheme has increased their confidence and empowerment. He said, “Under the Griha Lakshmi Yojana (female head of the family Rs 2,000 per month), 94 percent of the women spent a part of this amount to improve diet and nutrition. 90 percent used on health services. About 50 percent spent his children’s education. ”
The Congress leader says that women are using this amount on a large scale as investing in the long -term good of their family.
Ramesh said, “Under the Ann Bhagya Yojana (free rice), 94 percent of the people said that they got the benefit of this scheme. 91 percent of the beneficiary families are now spending additional nutrition such as vegetables and milk, as the advanced food fate scheme is meeting their grains needs. ”
The Congress General Secretary said, “Under the Griha Jyoti Yojana (200 units of free electricity), 72 percent of the women beneficiaries said that their families are now able to use more electricity.” 43 percent have bought new equipment that save time and increase the quality of life. ”
According to Ramesh, 42 percent of the beneficiaries under the Yuva Nidhi Yojana (allowance for unemployed youth) said that they used this amount in efforts to get skill development and employment.
The Congress leader said, “The decision is clear. Women are now more healthy, dynamic, and strong in family and society. Families are making long -term investments in their health and education. The local economy has strengthened, as demand at the ground level has increased. ”
