A dialogue was organized on the issue of domestic women on Sunday under the theme ‘Now Nari Ki Bari’ of ‘Hindustan’s popular voter awareness campaign ‘Let’s do politics’. In this dialogue organized in Hindustan office, women expressed their views openly and raised questions on the system. Said that to come into the mainstream of the nation, women will have to understand their own interests and move forward to gain their rights. Said that unless women participate in the scheme made for women, the scheme cannot be successful. He said that participation should be given according to numbers from bottom to top. So that in democracy, they are not limited to just the role of voting, but they can also participate in the decisions.
Starting the dialogue, Dr. Neha Mittal, who lives in Essel Tower, said that it is important for women to be in politics. But unless there is family support, women will not be able to enter politics. Apart from this, their financial self-reliance is also very important. Giving his own example, he said that he faced many storms in the beginning of his family life, but the reason for his success on every front was his financial self-reliance and self-confidence. He said that if a woman wishes, she can correct the balance not only of home, family and society but also of the entire country. But for this it is necessary for him to be self-reliant. Former Miss Haryana Ritu Kataria said that any girl who gets married and moves to another house has many dreams. But if her in-laws are not understanding then all her dreams are shattered. But if the elder women of the house realize that she too was once a daughter-in-law, then perhaps this problem will not arise. Ritu Kataria asked direct questions to the government on law and order and women’s safety. Said that there is so much provision in the law for the safety of women, but due to not being implemented properly, they do not get the benefit. Citing the laws of Arab countries, he said that the criminal should be given swift punishment.
MP should understand women’s issues
All the women involved in the discussion were of the same opinion on the issue of how our MP should be. Women said that the MP should be a person who understands women’s issues and has the ability to make effective laws for women in Parliament. It is known to everyone that women have to go through periods every month. It is fine in cities, but in rural areas women do not get hygienic facilities. Whereas this has a bad effect on their health. If our public representatives consider such small things and get them resolved, then big changes can come. This change can change the condition and direction of the country and society.
Discrimination between men and women must be eliminated
Karishma Singhania said that even in today’s times there is a lot of discrimination between men and women. If men are drinking alcohol in public then no one is going to tell them, but if a woman does so even by mistake then whispers start. Be it food or clothing, there is discrimination even in education. To move the country and society forward, this discrimination has to be ended. He said that there is a provision for equality in the Constitution, but it is not implemented in practice.
Guarantee of safety at workplace
Dr. Nidhi and Seema Sangwan raised the issue of women’s safety. Said that women’s participation is necessary in nation building. But their safety should be guaranteed at their workplace. If this happens then women will not be afraid to go out. She said that she says from her experience that they face a lot of problems and do not get the required support. While referring to the health of domestic women, Isha Sharma said that there should be such a system in the country that sanitary pads are available in every women’s toilet. If this is not possible then its price should be so low that every woman can easily buy it. If the woman remains healthy then the family will remain healthy. Then the family will remain healthy and the society will remain healthy.

Dr. Chandraprabha said that generally girls get married at a young age and are burdened with initial responsibilities. In such a situation, they do not get a chance to make a career. Generally such women are able to move out of the house at the age of 30 or 35. But by this time the age limit for employment has passed. In such a situation, the government should make such arrangements that women should get age relaxation in the matter of jobs. So that he can think about his career later also.
