Varanasi, May 16 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Neelkanth Tiwari in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has launched the ‘Walk with Janata’ campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s energy-saving message. Under this, the BJP MLA appealed to the public to walk, save fuel and increase interaction with people.
BJP MLA Neelkanth Tiwari himself set out on foot as part of the campaign. He met people at various places on the way. During this, Prime Minister Modi’s energy-saving message was conveyed to the people.
Local woman Lata Gupta said that the campaign is being run under the leadership of our MLA Neelkanth Tiwari. They are so energetic that while walking with them we also become energetic. Our MLAs have been walking on foot since the beginning and often ask their workers also to walk on foot. They believe that this will improve health.
Another woman Shashi Kesari said that the local people like MLA Neelkanth Tiwari a lot. When the MLA leaves his house, he is alone, but when he passes through the ward, every worker walks with him. They also provide immediate solutions to every task of the workers.
MLA Neelkanth Tiwari said, “I ride a bike or walk most of the time in my area. Vehicles are used only when I go out of the city. Now, after Prime Minister Modi’s call, we are roaming around on foot in the area, contacting people and conveying the message to them.”
The BJP MLA said that when we leave the house during the campaign, two-four people are with us, but when we tour the area, the number of supporters increases significantly. Everyone is currently busy working on Prime Minister Modi’s energy-saving call.
He said that Prime Minister Modi and BJP have given me the responsibility of serving the people of the area. Regarding this, I work with alertness and vigilance throughout the day. Every day, the process of visiting the areas from early morning and contacting different people, participating in programs and carrying forward the work of the organization continues till late night.
