Leaders extended best wishes on Assam Day, remembered Ahom dynasty and culture of the state

New Delhi, December 2 (IANS). On the occasion of Assam Day, many prominent leaders at the Center and the state level greeted the people of the state. On this historic day, he recalled the glorious culture of Assam and the great achievements of the Ahom dynasty.

Jammu and Kashmir Governor’s Office wished the people of Assam on the occasion in a post on social media platform ‘X’. He said that they pay homage to the founder of the great Ahom dynasty, Swargadeo Chawlung Sukaphaa and the brave Lachit Borphukan. He also wished for the continued prosperity, peace and success of Assam and its people.

Also, the Governor’s Office also extended warm birthday wishes to JP Nadda, another Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers. May he continue to serve the nation with good health, happiness and long life, the message said.

On the other hand, on the occasion of Assam Day, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Home Minister Amit Shah on ‘X’. Sarma said that the double engine government at the Center under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left no stone unturned in preserving and promoting the Ahom dynasty and the glorious heritage of Assam on the world stage.

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Assam Day, Home Minister Amit Shah had also greeted the people of Assam. He said in the ‘X’ post that this day reminds us of the glory of the Ahom era and further strengthens our commitment towards preserving the rich culture of Assam. Amit Shah said that in the last 9 years, the NDA government has established peace in Assam, made it a hub of development and education and is committed to continue this progress.

Amit Shah also said that this day should strengthen the bond of our unity and deepen our connection with our culture. He appreciated Assam’s diverse culture, glorious history and modern development achievements.

For the people of Assam, this day has become a symbol of pride, culture and development, which brings together the history and modern progress of the state.
