New Delhi, July 13 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met the lead characters of the hit web series ‘Panchayat’ at an event in New Delhi.
‘Are you listening Binod…’ This has been mentioned in the post of the popular social media handle ‘Modi Story’ on social media platform X. This is one of the dialogues from the popular series, which was spoken by PM Modi during his meeting with Durgesh Kumar and Ashok Pathak, who played the characters of Bhushan/Banarkas and Binod in the series. The artists were overwhelmed by this behavior of the Prime Minister.
The post in Hindi on Monday further read, ‘Sun raha hai na Binod…’ When Panchayat fame Ashok Pathak, i.e. Binod, and Durgesh Kumar met PM Modi, Prime Minister Modi uttered the same dialogue as soon as he took the entry! The atmosphere became completely light in a second.
Ashok Pathak says, “I really didn’t think it would be such a normal thing. Both PM Modi’s humor and memory are next level. We just kept laughing.”
Finally, he wrote, “Truly, PM Narendra Modi’s way of connecting with people is unmatched!” At the event, PM Modi warmly welcomed the actors and light-heartedly asked, “Panchayat sunta hai or nahi sunta hai?”, a reference to the popular meme and serial dialogue. He called Ashok Pathak by his character’s name, which the actor described as incredible and an experience like receiving a big award.
According to reports, the Modi Story website was launched by Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni in March 2022, and has emerged as a platform to share moments reflecting the life and leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
