Bhopal, April 25 (IANS). In a step towards strengthening governance at the grassroots level and further institutionalizing the people-centric administrative structure, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced the first field postings for eight probationer Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 2025 batch.

Issuing formal orders on Saturday, the General Administration Department has posted newly appointed officers as Assistant Collectors in remote tribal areas and developing districts of the state.

The objective of this strategic deployment is to expose young leaders to the complexities of rural and tribal governance early in their careers.

According to the official release, Ayushi Bansal has been posted in Jhabua, while Aashi Sharma will serve in Dhar.

Madhav Agarwal has been posted in Barwani, and Soumya Mishra will join the administration of Singrauli.

In the eastern and central regions, Shlok Waikar has been appointed to Katni, Shilpa Chauhan to Khandwa, Khote Pushparaj Nanasaheb to Betul and Shailendra Chaudhary to Mandla district.

These districts, known for their unique geographical challenges and rich social diversity, are seen as important areas for learning.

The State Government emphasized that serving in these areas would provide officers with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the specific needs of tribal communities and the practical constraints faced by them in rural development.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the objective of this initiative is to develop sensitivity, professional efficiency and a dedicated spirit of public service in the officers from the very beginning of their tenure.

He said that by working at the grassroots level, these newly appointed officers are expected to bridge the gap between policy and its implementation, and ensure that government welfare schemes reach the most deprived populations.

Administrative experts consider this deployment as an important step towards inclusive development.

By sending new talent to the developing areas, the state government wants to accelerate the pace of good governance and adopt a modern and sensitive approach to the long-standing administrative challenges in the hinterland of Madhya Pradesh.
