Moradabad, January 13 (IANS). Senior SP leader ST Hasan hit back at the statement given by the Jain brothers on the DM describing Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh as government land. Said that there are hundreds of years old mosques, temples and historical heritage, so will they bulldoze all of them?
Speaking to IANS in Moradabad, the SP leader said that instead of discussing whether the mosque is on government land or Waqf land, there should be a discussion on rising inflation and unemployment in the country. For how long will Hindu-Muslim politics continue in the country? Jain brother’s tongue should be controlled. Is it in the national interest or in harm’s way? A mosque that is hundreds of years old does not necessarily belong to Waqf. The temples are also hundreds of years old, when they come on government land, will they be bulldozed?
This mosque is built on government land, 500 years old documents cannot be brought. Will they run bulldozers on Delhi’s Shahi Jama Masjid also, they too will not have the documents. Even if hundreds of years old temples do not have papers, will bulldozers be used? Many historical heritage sites are on government land, will that also be used by bulldozers?
He said that politics of hatred should not be spread among the people, it should be stopped. If you want to do politics then there should be talk on employment. To what extent have the middle class and businessmen become troubled? Why is Hindu-Muslim politics happening in the country? Do you want to weaken the country?
On Owaisi’s statement he asked whether Owaisi is responsible for this. He said that those who are doing politics by dividing Hindus and Muslims are responsible. They are spreading hatred. I believe that the government should now understand this conspiracy. This is a serious threat to the country. The world is already facing the dangers of global conflicts, and our enemies are all around us. Those who create division and spread hatred in our own country are the only ones who can weaken India from within. The government needs to recognize this danger.
On Trump’s 25 percent tariff on countries doing business with Iran, the SP leader said that we are ashamed to call Trump the President. There will be no problem if we call him a dacoit. We have seen his attitude towards Venezuela. We have nothing to lose. If we become prosperous then there is danger from dacoits. Trump is threatening so that all countries work under America’s pressure.
