Bareilly, April 4 (IANS). National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi has given a sharp reaction to the statement of BJP leader Navneet Rana. He said that Navneet Rana is frightened and afraid of Muslim women. Therefore he gave a statement that a woman wearing burqa cannot become Chief Minister or Mayor.
Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi while talking to IANS said, “On the statement of Murshidabad MLA Humayun Kabir, Navneet Rana’s statement that a woman wearing burqa cannot become the Chief Minister or Mayor. In fact, she is intimidated and scared of Muslim women. Navneet Rana herself is a woman, so she should not make such statements for women of other communities as well. She should look at history, because even today many women in the country There’s a mayor inside.”
Giving the example of the Mayor of Malegaon, Mufti Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi said, “Navneet Rana should go there and see. A woman named Fatima has also been the Chief Minister of Assam. Apart from this, there are many examples of Muslim women leaders which can be given. Navneet Rana does not have a problem with the burqa, but she has a problem with Muslim women only.”
Earlier, Navneet Rana had hit back at Humayun Kabir’s ‘burqa’ statement. He said in his statement, “If seven generations of Humayun Kabir come down, then not only in West Bengal, but anywhere in the entire country, neither a person wearing a burqa can become a mayor nor can any of their people become a chief minister. Humayun Kabir, one should think 100 times just to dream even in a dream.”
He said that this is the land of Lord Ram and his thoughts and the Constitution given by Bhimrao Ambedkar. Navneet Rana also said, “India cannot become secular unless Muslims leave the country.”
