BJP MP Hema Malini, who was leading an eight -member delegation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), said on Tuesday that a delegation of MPs would visit Karur and get information about the stampede incident.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Anurag Thakur said that the delegation will meet the local people, officials and take information about the stampede incident on 27 September and will give a report to BJP national president JP Nadda.
Hema Malini and others told reporters at the airport before leaving Karur that the delegation would also meet the families who lost their loved ones in the stampede.
BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit chief Nanar Nagenthan said that the NDA MP will visit the spot, then go to the hospital where the injured are being treated and will meet the families of all 41 people killed in the incident.
