New Delhi, April 10 (IANS). Congress MP Tariq Anwar has accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of betraying the people of the state and reminded him of his election promise.
Speaking to IANS in New Delhi, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that during the elections, Nitish Kumar had promised to serve Bihar for five years. Now he has changed his decision, which is a betrayal of the people of Bihar.
The Congress MP said that under whatever pressure Nitish Kumar has changed the decision, the people of Bihar have not accepted it. However, it cannot be said as to when Nitish will reverse course.
Tariq Anwar welcomed the court’s decision on the bail granted to Congress leader Pawan Kheda. He said that the decision of the High Court is correct. Accusing the Assam Police, he said that such action was being taken against Pawan Kheda as if he had committed a big crime.
Tariq Anwar said that the Election Commission should have immediately investigated the allegations made by Pawan Kheda against the Chief Minister’s wife.
On Pakistan’s role in establishing ceasefire between America and Iran, Tariq Anwar said that Pakistan is demanding Nobel Prize, which is nonsense. He said that India should have done this work but India’s foreign policy is not going in the right direction. This is the reason why we lag behind everywhere.
On Owaisi’s party breaking alliance with Humayun Kabir in Bengal and his video, Tariq Anwar said that the video has revealed the reality of Humayun Kabir. He alleged that this was an election ploy by the BJP, through which the party wanted to win back its votes.
He said that it is good that his secret was exposed and now it has been proved that it was BJP’s game.
Foreign Minister S. Tariq Anwar took a dig at Jaishankar’s visit to Mauritius. He said that our foreign policy is proving to be a complete failure. If I had to go, I should have gone first and taken the initiative first.
