Noida, June 23 (IANS). Gautam Buddha Nagar Police seems to be fully alert to ensure peaceful and safe completion of the upcoming Moharram festival. On the instructions of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, senior officers took stock of the security arrangements in various police station areas of the district and conducted foot patrolling and gave necessary directions to the concerned officers.
Under the supervision of DCP Noida Saad Miya Khan, ADCP Noida Manisha Singh along with ACP-3 Noida Rakesh Pratap Singh and police force conducted foot patrolling in Police Station Sector-49 area. During this, the officials did physical verification of the proposed procession route in view of the upcoming Moharram and reviewed the security arrangements. The officials inspected the arrangements on the procession route and instructed the concerned employees to be cautious. During patrolling, intensive checking of suspicious persons and vehicles was also done.
Officials gave clear instructions that security arrangements and traffic operations should be maintained smoothly and effective action should be ensured against those violating traffic rules. Along with this, instructions were given to PCR and PRV vehicles to maintain law and order by continuously roaming in the area.
In the same sequence, under the direction of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, a special campaign was also launched against those who consume alcohol in public places. Under the supervision of DCP Noida Saad Mia Khan and ADCP Noida Manisha Singh, on Monday, Police Station Phase-1 and Police Station Sector-58 of Noida Zone took joint action against a total of 102 persons under Section 292 BNS.
Police say that the campaign will continue in the future against people who affect law and order by drinking alcohol in public places. At the same time, special vigilance is being taken regarding security arrangements in Central Noida area also. Under the supervision of DCP and ADCP Central Noida, ACP-1 Deeksha Singh took stock of the security arrangements by doing foot patrolling with the police force in Police Station Phase-2 area.
He directed the police personnel to check suspicious vehicles by erecting barricades, maintain traffic order and take strict action against drivers violating rules. Police officials said maintaining peace and harmony during festivals is a priority. For this, patrolling, checking campaigns and monitoring are being continuously increased in all police station areas. The police have also appealed to the common citizens for cooperation and urged them to immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
