New Delhi, May 11 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the countrymen on National Technology Day. He remembered the hard work and dedication of the scientists. Along with this, PM Modi said that our scientists are the true architects of the country’s pride and self-respect.

He wrote in the post, “Technology has become a key pillar in building ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. It is accelerating innovation, expanding opportunities and contributing to the growth of the nation in various sectors. Our continued focus is on empowering talent, encouraging research and creating solutions that meet both the progress of the nation and the aspirations of our people.”
PM Modi wrote in another post, “On this day in 1998, the nuclear test conducted in Pokhran introduced the world to the amazing capability of India. Our scientists are the true architects of the country’s pride and self-respect.”
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also shared ‘Sanskriti Subhashitam’. He wrote, “Agnirmurdha Divah Kakutpatih Prithivya Ayam. Apan Retansi Jinvati.” It means- ‘Fire is the supreme power of the universe and is the original source of all energy on earth. The same fire element awakens the infinite power contained in the smallest particles of matter and communicates energy and movement in the entire creation.
Let us tell you that National Technology Day reminds the important events of May 11, 1998, when India conducted successful nuclear tests under Operation Shakti and witnessed the first flight of the indigenously developed Hansa-3 aircraft. In recognition of these achievements, then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared 11 May as National Technology Day. Since then, National Technology Day is celebrated every year on 11 May to commemorate the nuclear tests conducted in Pokhran in 1998.
