Ranchi, April 21 (IANS). BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev has claimed to form the BJP government in the assembly elections in West Bengal. He said that the public is fed up with TMC, hence this time they are bringing BJP.
Commenting on the politics of West Bengal, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev, while speaking to news agency IANS, said that the state was first ruled by communists, who did not believe in the existence of God, and then appeasement politics was at its peak during the Congress rule. According to him, the present Mamata Banerjee government has taken this trend further.
Pratul Shah Dev alleged that the politics of appeasement in West Bengal has reached such an extent that such a situation is probably not seen even in countries like Pakistan. He said that the kind of policies being adopted to please a particular community is contrary to democratic values.
Speaking on Tamil Nadu politics, he described the ongoing dispute between DMK and actor Vijay’s party as a mutual matter. He clarified that BJP does not want to comment on this issue. He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting the elections strongly in Tamil Nadu and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is completely united. He also said that for the first time, there is a possibility of NDA government being formed in the state, in which BJP will be an important partner.
Apart from this, he also expressed his opinion on the controversy regarding Lenscard’s ‘Staff Uniform and Grooming Guide’. Pratul Shah Dev said that any company should understand that hurting the sentiments of any religion in the name of business or marketing is not acceptable.
He said that India is a secular country, but it does not mean that any particular religion or tradition should be targeted.
He opposed the ban on religious traditions like Tilak, saying that this country respects Sanatan traditions and any such policy which hurts religious beliefs will not be accepted.
