Agartala, April 4 (IANS). Tripura CM Manik Saha on Saturday appealed to the people to avoid “misleading messages” and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in time. He claimed that the people are ready to form a ‘triple engine government’ in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Elections for the 30-member TTAADC, which consists of 28 elected and two state government-nominated members, are scheduled for April 12.
Addressing an election rally in Ganganagar-Gandachchada assembly constituency in Dhalai district, Saha said, “We all have to come together to build a new Tripura.”
He said that people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously increasing. He said, “Wherever I go, people are joining under the BJP flag. In today’s rally also, 710 voters from 251 families have joined the party. I welcome them. You have taken the right decision at the right time.”
The Chief Minister appealed to people associated with TMP and other parties, especially the youth, not to go astray.
“Those who are in TMP or other parties, especially the youth, should not be misled. Our double engine government is moving towards the target of 2047. Stay away from those giving wrong messages and join BJP in time,” he said.
Saha said that Prime Minister Modi talks about ‘New India’ and in the same direction the state is working towards creating ‘New Tripura’. He said, “Only if development reaches every section—caste, tribe, Manipuri minorities—and the infrastructure is strong, can a new Tripura and developed India be created.”
