Raipur, May 24 (IANS). Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has accused Rahul Gandhi of spreading rumors in the country. He said that Congress is retreating from its responsibility and misleading the people.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, while talking to journalists, said that Rahul Gandhi has become one of the prominent leaders spreading rumors in the country. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi has not been able to discharge his responsibilities properly as the leader of the opposition nor has he been able to maintain the dignity of that post.
Arun Sau said that the opposition should work seriously on public issues, but Rahul Gandhi is continuously engaged in spreading misleading information. The public has become aware. Nothing is going to happen with this. The public has also come to know which government can bring development.
Chief Electoral Officer of Kerala Ratan U. Arun Sao also reacted to the issue of Kelkar being appointed secretary to Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan. He said that some leaders take decisions only according to their political interest and convenience. Describing such leaders as opportunists, Sao said that principles and moral values should be followed in politics.
Countering Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel’s statement, Arun Sao said that he should pay attention to the situation of his party. The Congress party is struggling with internal strife and leadership struggle. Different factions are active within the party, where some leaders want to send their supporters to Delhi, while some are looking for a new Chief Minister. He said that Congress should first resolve its internal disputes.
Taking aim at DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, Arun Sao said that Bharatiya Janata Party has become the largest political party in the world today due to the hard work and strong leadership of its workers. The party has reached this stage with the dedication and sacrifice of many generations and the BJP is continuously getting stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
