Patna, March 17 (IANS). NDA made a clean sweep on five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. The grand alliance was claiming to win one seat in the state, but it had to face defeat on that seat also. After the defeat of the Grand Alliance, Congress MLAs have leveled allegations against the state president. Congress State President Rajesh Ram, regarding the resentment against Rajya Sabha candidates and the allegations against him, said that I should make it clear that I am the most loyal person of the party. Posts come and go, but prestige is very difficult to get.
Speaking to IANS in Patna, Congress State President Rajesh Ram said that those who have leveled allegations against me, I would only say that I remained in constant touch with those MLAs. I called him several times. I went to his house, sat there and requested, but did not find anyone. Even after this I kept calling continuously, but he did not pick up the call. I also messaged that it is a question of the reputation of the party, please talk to me once. He did not pick up the call and made such allegations today.
We are loyal soldiers of the Congress Party, have been on the ground and today hold important positions in the party. I cannot betray the party while holding this post. In the first episode, Ashok Chaudhary tempted us to make us MLC and minister. Offered a flat. We kicked and ran away at that time. Efforts are being made by BJP to corner me.
He said that it is your right to vote. The party’s instructions are to support the India Alliance candidate and speak in his favor. You are a voter. Rajesh Ram said that see, this decision is taken between our central leadership and RJD. We are followers. It is our responsibility to accept that decision and implement it. It is a different matter that our three MLAs did not come, so this is a setback. No one can shirk this responsibility.
He said that the party will take action against the MLAs, there is no doubt about it. It is also important to understand what the conscience of those who have been together says.
