On Monday, India celebrated its 77th Republic Day, on this occasion, Prime Minister Modi reached the National War Memorial in New Delhi wearing an attractive traditional attire in his typical style.

For Republic Day 2026, Prime Minister Modi chose a Rajasthani-style turban adorned in shades of deep red, mustard yellow and green, tied high with a fan-shaped peak.
Along with the turban, he wore a light sky blue Nehru jacket over a dark blue kurta. She completed her look by wearing traditional black formal shoes with white churidar trousers.
Along with the Prime Minister, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal APS Singh and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Tripathi were also present.

In 2024, on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, he wore a bright yellow multicolored turban, which he teamed with a white kurta and a brown Nehru jacket. This dress with Rajasthani Bandhini print was a symbol of her love for the country.
On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day, Prime Minister Modi wore a multicolored Rajasthani turban, a symbol of India’s diversity.
On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day in the year 2022, the Prime Minister chose a traditional cap of Uttarakhand, adorned with a Brahmakamal-inspired brooch, a tribute to the state flower of Uttarakhand.
For the year 2021, PM Modi wore a special Jamnagar turban gifted to him by the royal family of Jamnagar, Gujarat, which he teamed with a gray jacket, kurta and pajama.
