Kolkata, July 12 (IANS). TMC MLA and state general secretary Kunal Ghosh reacted on several issues including Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s visit to Baruipur and the Ram temple offering controversy.
On the Ram temple offering controversy issue, Kunal Ghosh said that Lord Ram belongs to everyone, but if ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan is raised in a political rally, then it becomes an issue. When we hold any political rally we do not take the name of the deity. Ram ji belongs to everyone, but when political slogans are raised, it seems that some people are trying to take advantage of the name of Lord Ram politically.
Talking to journalists, Kunal Ghosh said that a very tragic incident had happened in Baruipur. The Chief Minister had gone there after the accident. There is BJP government in many states of the country. Incidents of crime against women are being committed in those states also. What will happen if the Chief Minister goes to Baruipur one day? Many questions have arisen in this matter.
Regarding the UCC drafting committee in West Bengal, Kunal Ghosh said that there are people following many religions in the country. I believe that if any change has to be made in the customs and traditions, then it should be done by taking everyone together and with everyone’s consent. Our party is watching, whatever is told by the government, we will also look at it.
On BJP’s claims of implementing the manifesto, Kunal Ghosh said that he will talk on his agenda. What happened in BJP ruled states. He said that we all are against anti-socials and goons. But why is the anti-social bill being brought here? Was there anything wrong with BNS? There is a law in the country to take action against anti-social elements. Then what was the need for it?
Regarding the voice testing of Abhishek Banerjee, Kunal Ghosh said that his voice has been tested.
Regarding Ritabrata Banerjee’s appointment in TMC, Kunal Ghosh said that he has no right, because TMC belongs to Mamata Banerjee. Big things are being said today on behalf of those who had become party candidates with the signatures of Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee and had contested the elections with money from the party account.
Regarding the implementation of Ayushman Card, Kunal Ghosh said that Swasthya Sathi Card was already implemented in this state, which was applicable for everyone. He said that not all people will be able to get the facilities of Ayushman Bharat. Why is this thing being said today? Wrong information was given regarding Ayushman Bharat.
