New Delhi, June 16 (IANS). Congress MP Tariq Anwar, while giving his reaction on various issues on Tuesday, raised questions on BJP and the Central Government. He expressed his views on the alleged irregularities in the NEET exam, the role of Rahul Gandhi, the nature of RSS and the stand of Uttar Pradesh government regarding madrassas.
Supporting the decision to ban Telegram for NEET exam, Tariq Anwar said that it is absolutely right and I believe that the Supreme Court has taken note of this. This was necessary and the Supreme Court will try to bring changes in the entire system under its supervision. This is what we hope.
At the same time, he raised questions on the government’s preparations for the re-examination of NEET. He said that we do not see any benefit from all these things. The way NEET questions have been leaked and the future of the students has been played with, the precautions that the government is taking seem to be just for show and an attempt to suppress the matter. It’s not going to make any difference. People are losing trust in the government, especially students. Students are holding rallies at many places and Rahul Gandhi is going there. The anger and resentment within the students will increase further.
Responding to the statements of DMK leaders regarding Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, the Congress MP said that it does not matter what DMK people say. Everyone knows that Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition. He is the leader of the country’s biggest, oldest and historical party and the whole of India loves and accepts him. Today if there is anyone who can look eye to eye with Modi, it is Rahul Gandhi.
Supporting the questions raised by Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on the existence and functioning of RSS, Tariq Anwar said that RSS is perhaps the only organization in the world which describes itself as an NGO and non-political, yet is involved in political activities all the time. There is no clear account publicly available of where the money came from and how much was spent in the last 100 years. Since it is not registered, even the government cannot interfere in it. Priyank Kharge has raised this issue.
The Congress MP also reacted to the statements made by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding madrassas. He said that I think Yogi is unnecessarily targeting madrassas. Madrassas are for children who do not have access to government schools. There they get some education and learn to read and write. If the government has the capacity then schools should be opened everywhere. Everyone wants their children to study in government schools, but due to shortage of schools people are forced to send their children to madrassas.
