New Delhi, April 18 (IANS). After the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill (131st Amendment of the Constitution) could not be passed in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal, while speaking to IANS, made serious allegations against the opposition parties. He said that the way Congress and other parties voted against this bill in Parliament makes their intentions clear.
He claimed that this bill was brought with the aim of empowering women, but the opposition tried to stop it.
MP Praveen Khandelwal said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had introduced a bill in Parliament to empower women, but Congress and other opposition parties opposed it. This happened because of their anti-women mentality and the requirement of two-thirds majority. Congress and other opposition parties together tried to stop women from becoming empowered as part of a conspiracy.
Praveen Khandelwal said that the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will run a campaign among traders, women entrepreneurs and startups across the country. Through this campaign, people will be told how Congress and opposition parties hindered the efforts to empower women.
On the rejection of the 131st Amendment Bill of the Constitution, BJP’s national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said, “Yesterday Amit Shah completely exposed the opposition on the floor of Parliament. The opposition, which used to make tall claims about the support of women, and in which leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are prominent, also did not support women.”
Syed Shahnawaz Hussain says, “Be it Balakot, Air Strike, Surgical Strike or Operation Sindoor, on all these Rahul Gandhi has raised more questions than Pakistan. This shows that the people of the opposition are speaking the language of Pakistan and are not becoming the voice of the public. The country is continuously developing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
BJP’s national spokesperson said, “The opposition is not even in a position to show its face in front of half the country’s population. There is a lot of anger among women towards the Congress and the opposition. The way they behaved in Parliament has created such a situation that not even a single woman is supporting the Congress or the opposition.”
