'This is the election to write a new chapter of Bihar's prosperity': PM Modi in conversation with BJP workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to Bharatiya Janata Party workers of Bihar and said that the upcoming election contest in the state is an election to write a new chapter of the state’s prosperity.

Interacting with youth workers of the BJP in Bihar through the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Strong’ programme, PM Modi also criticized the opposition alliance and said, “Those who call themselves ‘gathbandhan’, whom the people of Bihar call ‘lathbandhan’, they only know how to wield sticks and keep fighting.”

He said that when there is stability, development gains momentum and this is the strength of the NDA government of Bihar. He further said, “That is why every youth of Bihar is enthusiastically saying, ‘Bihar is on its way, then NDA government’.”

He also mentioned the upcoming Chhath festival and said that people in Bihar are also celebrating the festival of democracy along with it.

He said, “Amidst the excitement of festivals, preparations for the worship of Chhathi Maiya are also in full swing. Along with all this, Bihar is also celebrating the great festival of democracy. This election is going to write a new story of prosperity of Bihar. The youth of Bihar have a big role in this.”

Prime Minister Modi said that the people of the state will not allow Jungle Raj to return.

He said, “All this power is the power of one vote. That vote has created such a situation that today Ram Mandir has been built. Operation Sindoor has also been conducted and the country is moving rapidly towards freedom from Naxalism. So this is the power of vote. By removing Jungle Raj, today the people of Bihar do not want to let Jungle Raj come back under any circumstances, so this is the power of the conscious citizens of Bihar.”

He said, “The discussion about Jungle Raj is natural, it will continue for 100 years. People of Bihar will never forget it. This is the land of Chanakya… People will never forgive him. I would like to urge all the youth of Bihar to gather at every booth and ask the elders of that area to come and tell everyone about the past incidents. A program can be made where they share their disturbing experiences with the new generation.”

The Prime Minister expressed confidence of NDA’s victory and said that after the results of the assembly elections, a new era of women empowerment will begin. He mentioned Rs 10,000 given to women under the Mahila Rozgar Yojana.

PM Modi said, “The daughters of Bihar have proved their talent everywhere. There were scams during Jungle Raj. Our government guarantees development. They imprisoned the daughters of Bihar within the walls. Therefore, it is important to keep them away from power. Rs. 10,000 each have been sent to the bank accounts of more than 1.2 crore sisters to start their own business.”

Prime Minister Modi urged the workers to prepare a list of women who have not received the benefit of this scheme and assure them that they will get financial assistance.

He said, “Make a list at every booth of those women who have not yet got the benefits of the Chief Minister’s Employment Scheme. Sit with them. Assure them that their names will be added to the list of beneficiaries when the government is formed again on November 14. After coming to power on November 14, a new era of women empowerment will begin in Bihar.”

Assembly elections in Bihar will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November. The results will be declared on 14 November.
