New Delhi, June 29 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ghulam Ali Khatana has welcomed the upcoming Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill in West Bengal. He said this is the law for all citizens and should be supported. Along with this, Ghulam Ali Khatana also reacted on the Ram Mandir donation issue and NEET paper leak issue.
There is a possibility of the UCC bill being introduced in the West Bengal Assembly on Saturday. Speaking to news agency IANS, MP Ghulam Ali Khatana said, “Equal law for all citizens of the country should be welcomed.”
On NEET paper leak, he said that students’ issues should not be politicized. Also, he said that the government has taken strict action and any further leaks will also be investigated.
Khatana said, “We do politics, but we should not do politics on the subject of students. The government has taken strict steps regarding the NEET controversy. If papers are leaked anywhere else, strict action will be taken against them and the investigation will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.”
The BJP MP also said that every issue should not be given political colour. The opposition also made statements about the crisis caused by the war in the Middle East, but we should speak on those issues which are important.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Ali Khatana said on the Ram Temple issue that the law is doing its job. He also accused Akhilesh Yadav of politicizing the matter. Regarding the matter, he said, “The law is doing its job, but Akhilesh Yadav is doing politics on this issue. This is his attempt to make the majority of voters turn towards Samajwadi Party. However, the people of the country and especially Uttar Pradesh are not of this mind.”
