Greater Noida, June 29 (IANS). The administration of the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS), Greater Noida has made an emotional appeal to the agitating employees for the last 15 days to immediately return to work. The administration has said that it is fully sympathetic towards most of the demands of the employees and the issues which can be resolved at the institute level will be addressed on priority basis. Whereas matters related to governance level will be sent to the government for immediate action.

In the message issued by the JIMS administration, it has been said that a six-member committee will be formed to consider the demands of the employees. This will include three representatives of the employees and three representatives of the Jims administration. The committee will be headed by the district administration and whatever decision the committee gives will be resolved at the institute level or sent to the government if necessary.

The administration told the agitating employees that some outside anarchist elements are trying to confuse them and want to use the movement for their own interests. The message also said that for the last few days, rumors were being spread that the police would pick up the employees from their hostels or homes, whereas this did not happen to anyone. The administration assured that no action will be taken against those employees who do not violate law and order.

The JIMS administration expressed concern that the health services at the hospital have been seriously affected due to the 15 consecutive days of protests. Its biggest impact has been on poor and needy patients, who are not getting timely treatment. The administration has appealed to the employees to return to work immediately, keeping the welfare of the patients paramount. Also warned that if the employees do not return to work, the institute will be forced to make alternative arrangements.

The administration also assured that positive efforts will be made in the interest of employees on issues like training, coaching in higher institutions, expansion of health facilities and improvement in salaries and allowances. It was also clarified that the decisions taken by the government in the interest of the employees will be applicable to those employees who have served in the institute during the Covid-19 pandemic and will continue their services in the future also. In its message, the JIMS administration also warned of strict action against damage to government property, vandalism or obstruction in the work of working employees and administrative officers.

The administration said that action will be taken as per rules against those who damage government property or affect law and order. The JIMS administration appealed to the agitating employees not to be misled by anyone and to find a solution through dialogue and said that all the demands will be considered in a time bound manner and every possible effort will be made to protect the interests of the employees.
