Kolkata, 15 September (IANS). The politics of West Bengal has once again been hot with debate and accusation. While about 40,000 candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar reached Bengal to take SSC exam, the BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) have started sharp rhetoric about this. Also, the interim verdict on the new Waqf law of the Supreme Court and TMC MP and actress Mimi Chakraborty has been further enhanced by ED Saman.

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh claimed that thousands of youths of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have come to take the exam in West Bengal with expectation of jobs. He said that it shows the trust of the people on the employment system of the state and also highlights the mistrust of the BJP ruled states on the government.

Ghosh said that the BJP is distorting the facts. While presenting the figures, he claimed that millions of Bengal people work in other states, while about 1.5 crore people come to Bengal for employment. He said that BJP’s ‘mask politics’ has now been exposed.

TMC MP and actress Mimi Chakraborty was called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning, which Kunal Ghosh accused the BJP of political revenge action. Kunal Ghosh said that actor Ankur Hazra was called earlier and now Mimi is being targeted. He taunted that this strategy of BJP has become a free promotional campaign for Mimi Chakraborty’s ‘Raktbiz 2’.

At the same time, the Supreme Court on Monday refused to completely ban the new Waqf Act, 2025. However, the court has imposed an interim ban on some sections including provisions giving the collector the right to resolve the property dispute. Kunal Ghosh refused to say anything about this. He said that now we are watching this topic our lawyers and leadership. In such a situation, it is not right to say anything right now.

Explain that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an important meeting on security and strategic issues with Eastern Command officials in Kolkata. However, TMC avoided making any direct comments on this, saying that politics should not be done in defense and army matters.
