Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took oath as Rajya Sabha member on Friday (April 10, 2026). While on one hand Chief Minister Nitish is receiving congratulations from all sides, on the other hand, Grand Alliance MLA I.P. Gupta has given his reaction sarcastically on this situation. I.P. Gupta is MLA from Saharsa. He said, “Modi ji has made a big mistake by calling Nitish Kumar to Delhi. Our wish is that now that Nitish ji has gone to Delhi, he should return as the Prime Minister. Just as Nitish Kumar ji always kept Narendra Modi alert while living in Bihar, in the same way now he will meet various allies in Delhi and give a tough competition to the central government.”

I.P. Gupta further said that Nitish Kumar will now remain in Delhi, where he will hold discussions with TDP leaders, talk to Rahul Gandhi and meet many other political personalities. He said, “Now, let’s see what happens next.” “Our hope is that Nitish Kumar will return as Prime Minister. Even Nitish Kumar himself does not know what he is going to do next—or when he is going to do it. This is a fact that everyone knows.”

First foundation day of the party on 12th April

I.P. Gupta is going to celebrate the first foundation day of his party (Indian Inclusive Party) on April 12 at Bapu Auditorium. He said the above things while giving information related to this program. Apart from this, while explaining about the party’s programme, he said that thousands of people from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal are expected to attend the programme. Many prominent leaders of the Grand Alliance are also going to participate in this program.

He confirmed that so far Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and Dipankar Bhattacharya have agreed to attend the event. The party has decided to celebrate its foundation day as “Pan Samman Diwas” (Day of Honor and Respect). Meanwhile, when Mukesh Sahni was mentioned, I.P. Gupta looked somewhat angry. When media persons asked why Mukesh Sahni—a constituent member of the grand alliance—was not invited, Gupta retorted, “Why should we invite Mukesh Sahni? It is not necessary to invite everyone.” Speaking off the record, he further alleged that Mukesh Sahni has played an important role in weakening the Grand Alliance.
