New Delhi, October 26 (IANS). While addressing the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again mentioned ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Sunday. He said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has filled every Indian with pride. This time, lamps of happiness were lit even in those areas where once there was darkness of Maoist terror. Prime Minister Modi said that people want the root out of Maoist terrorism which had put the future of their children in danger.
While mentioning the festivals at the beginning of the program, Prime Minister Modi said that he had recently written a letter to the countrymen, in which the achievements of the country were mentioned, due to which this time the beauty of the festivals has increased further. In response to this letter, many citizens of the country have sent him messages.
He said, “On this occasion of festivals, I had written a letter to all of you and shared my feelings. In the letter, I had told about the achievements of the country, due to which this time the festivals have become more vibrant than before. In response to my letter, many citizens of the country have sent me their messages.”
PM Modi expressed happiness over the tremendous increase in the purchase of indigenous goods. He said, “There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people regarding the GST Bachat Utsav. This time the purchase of indigenous goods in the markets has increased tremendously during the festival. In the messages that people have sent me, they have told which indigenous goods they have purchased this time.”
In his letter, he had requested for reduction of edible oil by 10 percent. Prime Minister Modi said on Sunday that people have responded positively to this.
On the festival of Chhath, PM Modi said that Diwali was celebrated a few days ago and now a large number of people are busy in Chhath Puja. Thekua is being built in homes, ghats are being decorated, markets are vibrant and a confluence of devotion, belonging and tradition is visible everywhere. He described the dedication and devotion of the women observing Chhath fast as inspiring.
